ABOUT THE EVENT

In this 2 hour workshop, Sex Educator Marisa Swinton will update your knowledge on the current best practices around consent, and how to teach healthy boundaries to your children. Topics will include theoretical consent models, practical and reasonable applications of consent, and how you can teach consent and body safety to your children from Pre-K to high school graduation and beyond.

WHO CAN/SHOULD ATTEND

  • Parents and caregivers of children aged 0-20

  • All genders, ethnicities, religions, sexualities, and lifestyles

  • Anyone interested in learning about consent.

PARTICIPANTS WILL...

  • Understand the current conversation around consent so caregivers can make choices from a place of knowledge

  • Review best practices on how to honour and teach consent and bodily autonomy from infancy to adulthood

  • Evaluate what they are already doing to impart these lessons and where they can incorporate more moments of consent at home

  • Be connected to age appropriate resources to facilitate conversations on consent at home
