Sex & Intimacy Workshops for Adults

Workshops are developed to be inclusive, informative, and fun. Each workshop is carefully designed to include elements that will engage and teach participants about intimacy, sex positivity, consent, and healthy decision making practices. Topics include but are not limited to pleasure, consent, sexual health, non-monogamy, birth control, LGBTQ+, parenting with sex positivity, and beginners kink.

Virtual seminars and workshops are run monthly, whereas in person workshops and seminars are run at the discretion of Rae & Marisa, individually and together. Custom workshops are available for order for unique audience, topic, and date specifications.

  • Pleasure is the leading reason for sex, so why doesn’t everyone know more about it? Why are we not deep diving into understanding where we source our pleasure? Is it in our lifestyle, your fantasies, your partner, touch, taste, or sight? All pleasure activates the same area of the brain and we’re excited to talk through how you can switch up your routine to experience more of it. In this workshop we’ll dive into pleasure systems, nature vs. nurture, lifestyles, fantasies, and how to activate your arousal systems to get the most pleasure out of your sexual practice. We’ll navigate different ways to experience pleasure and push the boundaries of your comfort zones. With a focus on consent, understanding, and excitement we’ll give you the tools you need to explore different pleasure centers safely and excitedly.

  • Consent is a hot topic issue - and it should be. But if you were raised in a time where consent was not highlighted, how do you begin to shift your thoughts on consent from harmful to hopeful? This isn’t your first rodeo, but there is always space to learn because we know you’re trying, and we’re here to guide you. In this 3 hour consent training workshop, I focus on going beyond what you learned in school because most of the time it’s unrelatable or realistic. We’ll talk nuances, sexual assault, and different consent models. We’ll also talk about how to make consent sexy and not robotic or awkward. You’ll learn about sexual assaults, legalities of consent scenarios, and common misconceptions, dive into the differences between verbal and nonverbal consent, how you’ve been influenced through media, and how to include consent as a fun and desirable way to communicate.

  • Are you interested in expanding or exploring your kinky side? Want to know more about fetishes, power dynamics, and different ways to play? Many people assume kink is all about pain and humiliation, and while that’s true for some, there’s so much more to kink and BDSM. If you’re interested in getting kinky, this one hour workshop explores kink, BDSM, and everything in between. We’ll be talking about the different types of kinks - not just the kind that include a whip. Get ready to explore the limit of your comfort zones, dive into what you might be missing, and leave wanting more.

  • Open relationships are increasingly being portrayed in the media, but no one ever explains the terminology or how to bring it up in your relationship. If you're curious about ethical non monogamy, polyamory, swinging, and everything in between, we're here to show you how sharing is caring. This workshop is a crash course into relationship models that are the alternative of monogamy. We’ll talk about the differences between romantic and sexual relationships, communication styles, and how to bring up non monogamy in your relationships.

  • Feeling overwhelmed by jealous feelings in your relationships? This is a crash course on why you're feeling jealous and what to do about it so you can stop. Learn about the common roots of jealousy, how to better identify the feelings underlying your jealousy, how to determine if it's a "you" problem or a "them" problem, and dives deep into different techniques to manage your feelings in a healthy and productive way. This workshop is built as a follow up to Sharing is Caring: Introduction to Non Monogamy, but is helpful to anyone experiencing jealousy.

General Sex Education Workshops

We teach sex education workshops to youths and adults alike. Safe sex education is important at any age. Despite good intentions, we know that schools are not doing their part to ensure that you or your child are getting the information you need in a shame-free environment. Our sex ed workshops go beyond medical information. Each workshop actively de-stigmatizes healthy sexuality while giving you the knowledge you need to make safer sex choices. While virtual workshops are targeted to teach sex education to adults, any of the topics can be adapted to become sex education workshops for youths. The workshops listed below are existing workshops that you can take online during our monthly virtual workshops, or you can bring one of our workshops to your group or school.

  • This safe sex educational workshop is a comprehensive overview of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), and specifically, how they are transmitted, how you can protect yourself against them, and to work to end the stigma around STIs to allow better access to care. We dive into STIs to help you understand personal health management. The information is presented in a sex-positive way, and deconstructions internalised stigma and unconscious bias surrounding the risk, transmission, and lifestyle of those affected.

  • Designed to educate people with uteruses on birth control types, Dirty Laundry: The Contraception Webinar expanded to include the long history of birth control, the practices that beliefs that have shaped the way people use and view contraception, and the current oppressive political systems that foster fear, misogyny, and the prevention of bodily autonomy.

  • Everybody Gets a Flag beings with a crash course in LGBTQ+ language, and highlights the history of the LGBTQ+ community, the movement, and the misconceptions relating to gender, sexuality, and equality. This workshop is for anyone looking to expand their understanding of trans rights, non-binary gender systems, sexual preferences, and ways to continuously support the LGBTQ+ community.

Sex Positive Parenting Workshop Series

Together, we’ll reflect on your own experiences with sexual education, identify areas where you might want to grow as a caregiver, and connect you with accessible resources on topics like sexuality, gender, and consent. Whether discussing theoretical models or real-life applications, this workshop will leave you feeling confident and prepared to support your child’s journey to healthy, respectful relationships.

  • You want to raise your child with healthy self esteem, and have healthy relationships. This workshop dives into talking about sexual health as caregivers from infancy to adulthood. I explore Canadian standards for sexual health curriculum in schools and how you can bring those conversations into your home. This workshop will also have you reflect on your won experiences with sexual education and determine where you may want to continue your education as a caregiver, and I will connect you to a variety of age appropriate resources to facilitate conversations around sex, sexuality, gender, and consent.

  • Update your knowledge on the current best practices around consent, and how to teach healthy boundaries to your children. Topics will include theoretical consent models, practical and reasonable applications of consent, and how you can teach consent and body safety to your children from Pre-K to high school graduation and beyond.
